COVID this week in the NWHU


The past seven days have seen 25 new cases appear in the Northwest Health Unit catchment area. The majority have been in Kenora, prompting the health unit to move to “Yellow-Protect.” This week, 21 new cases have been reported in Kenora, two in Sioux Lookout, one in the Dryden/Red Lake region and one in the Rainy River region.


Two new cases in region


Northwestern Health Unit has received reports of two new positive COVID-19 test results in our area – one in the Kenora region, and one in the Dryden / Red Lake region. Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
