NLSS skaters fare well

The Northern Lights School of Skating had some of its skaters participate at the Kenora Futures STAR 1-4 event over the weekend, with great results.

Rachel Ste Croix earned gold in STAR 2 Free Skate while also nabbing bronze in STAR 2 Elements.

Lyla Moen nabbed silver in STAR 2 Free Skate, bronze in STAR 2 Elements, and silver in Pre-Introductory Interpretive.

Ste. Croix and Moen also both participated in the STAR 2 Team Event together and earned silver.

Jordyn Seguin, meanwhile, took home silver in STAR 3 Free Skate while also placing fifth in STAR 4 Elements.

And Whitney Williamson nabbed gold in STAR 3 Freeskate while also finishing first in STAR 4 Elements.

Seguin and Williamson also both participated in the STAR 4 team Event together and finished with a ranking of third.

“I'm so proud of the girls for challenging themselves,” NLSS director/owner Ashley Cumming enthused.

There also was Skate Canada testing after the event, in which Hallee Nugent passed her Rocker FoxTrot ice dance.
