Boston Pizza once again is offering heart-shaped pizzas tomorrow (Feb. 14) as a Valentine's Day fundraiser.
The local restaurant will have the special pizzas available for dine-in, take-out, or delivery beginning at 11 a.m. on Valentine's Day.
They are available in small and medium sizes on Boston Pizza's hand-pressed dough.
One dollar from the sale of each pizza will go to support KidSport Fort Frances, which BP has adopted for this year's Valentine's Day fundraiser.
KidSport's motto is “So All Kids Can Play!”
Its mandate is to promote sports participation among youths, as well as drum up funds, equipment, and other necessities for local children who otherwise would be unable to afford organized sports.
If you have room for dessert after eating pizza, $1 from every chocolate mousse cake sold tomorrow also will be donated to the cause.
As well, paper hearts are available there for $2 each.
Local BP franchisees Elizabeth Leishman-Fortes and Dale Fortes also will match money raised from pizza sales.
In the nine years since they opened the local BP, the couple has raised more than $28,000 for the Boston Pizza Foundation.
