Drug dealer complaint nabs woman

Category:

On May 7, members of the Sioux Lookout OPP were flagged down by a female driving a truck.

The female, who was 36 years old from Sachigo Lake First Nation, told officers the reason she flagged them down was she wished to tell on her drug dealer as she was not happy with the product that they had sold her.

While officers were speaking with the female, they observed her to be impaired from the consumption of alcohol and arrested her for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

She was transported to the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment, where she provided samples of her breath to police.

It was determined the female had almost twice the legal amount of alcohol in her blood.

She subsequently was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over .08 mg, and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over zero mg.

She also was charged, as a Class G1 licence holder, of failing to have an accompanying driver.

As well, she was charged with failing to surrender proof of insurance, failing to surrender the permit for the vehicle, failing to properly display her licence plate, and failing to surrender her driver's licence.

The woman was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Sioux Lookout on June 26.
