Kids float

It might have been a chilly night for a parade, but these bundled up little troopers made the most of it, tossing out candy for all to enjoy. The “Christmas Spirit Award” went to Northern Lights School of Skating, with honourable mentions going out to CN Police, Fort Frances Muskie Football, International Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the Bruyere family goats, Oreo and Dandelion.

Muskie float

Some of the Muskie football team members, fresh off of claiming their first-ever WHSFL title in the Currie Division ('A') last month, assembled a sensational Muskie float for the annual Christmas parade here Saturday evening.

Top citizen float

“2020 Citizen of the Year" Joy Lockman received the royal treatment during the Christmas parade on Saturday. A number of awards were handed out to participating floats following the parade, including the "Most Creative Float” award, which went to Jay's Auto.

Christmas music

Diane Maxey, left, led the Christmas Choraliers through their first show of the season at Rainycrest on Saturday afternoon. The choir's second performance took place at Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls on Sunday, and one final performance will take place this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre.

Members of Diane Maxey's Christmas Choraliers performed their first show of the season at Rainycrest on Saturday afternoon. The choir's second performance took place at Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls on Sunday, and one final performance will take place this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre.

Foundation tree

This 10-foot Christmas tree has taken its place in the lobby of La Verendrye General Hospital for the holidays. Members of the public can help decorate the tree by taking part in Riverside Foundation for Health Care's “Trim the Tree" campaign.

Peanuts gang

The Peanuts gang took a quick laugh break during a rehearsal for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at La Place Rendez-Vous last Thursday. The two casts ran through the show once each to get a feel for the props, sets and lighting before their big debuts on Friday night, which played to packed audiences.

Snoopy snow

Snoopy (Lucy Ling) did her character's part in creating a winter wonderland during “A Charlie Brown Christmas” held at La Place Rendez-Vous on Friday evening. Two casts under the direction of Trevor Barker put on a stage version of the holiday classic to packed audiences. See more photos A5.
