The Friends of the Fort Frances Museum will hold its eighth-annual wine-and-cheese fundraiser, this year tying into the new Prohibition exhibit, today (Thursday, Nov. 7) from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the museum. It also will feature “giggle water,” hors d'oeuvres, live music, auctions, and games. Tickets cost $30 in advance (available at the museum, library, and From the Grind Up) or $35 at the door.
“What's the Difference?,” a Fort High musical revue about numbers, will be staged Nov. 7-9 at the Townshend Theatre. Start time is 7 p.m. each night. Tickets available at Northwoods and at the door. Cost is $10/adults, $8/seniors and students.
Sgt. Wilson's Airforce Show will take to the stage on Friday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. upstairs at the local Legion. “Indigenous Veterans of Treaty No. 3,” a new exhibit at Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung Historical Centre will have a grand opening on Friday, Nov. 8 from 6-8 p.m. Opening ceremonies and speeches at 6:30 p.m. Featuring the Manitou Rapids Veterans' Drum. Refreshments and light snacks available.
The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Dryden Ice Dogs on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Ice for Kids Arena. A Remembrance Day ceremony will be held prior to the start of the game. All Legion members will be admitted free of charge. For non-Legion members, admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, $5 for those 12 and under, and free for those under five.

A Remembrance Day tea will be hosted by the Legion Ladies' Auxiliary to Br. #29 on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 2-4 p.m. at the Fort Frances Legion. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for children under seven. Baking, cookie walk, meat pies, cabbage rolls, “Pick-A-Poppy” table, penny table, door prize, and a 50/50 draw.
The annual Remembrance Day service will be held Monday, Nov. 11 starting at 10:56 a.m. at the Fort Frances cenotaph.
Town council will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Civic Centre (one day later due to the observance of Remembrance Day). It will follow the committee of the whole meeting, which gets underway at a special start time of 4 p.m.
All seniors are invited to an Anishinaabe cultural awareness seminar which will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Fort Frances Senior Centre.
